The children at the Montessori got a gist of Pongal celebrations and its significance as a harvesting season. They dressed up in traditional attires and enjoyed adorning the floor with kolams and made Sweet Pongal in their very own decorated pot.
Our little charms in beautiful traditional look witnessed a calf that we brought to the premises. Originally, the festival is dedicated to the farming community, in order to thank them for the harvest. The celebration added significance by helping children understand the value of bulls and farmers.
Depicting the scenario, the little members turn by turn came ahead to play, pet, and feed the calf. The auspicious harvest festival filled up cheer and enthusiasm among our little toddlers.
